My dearest friend Elvira just bought an apartments in a brand new block in Almaty. There are 100 square meters generally and only one bedroom. She wants to rearrange the space making two bedrooms for herself and her little daughter.

We have to hurry up with all developments as laborers are waiting to start building the walls. It is critical to erect the walls and install all electricity in next several days. That means no final visualization, no concept boards or design statement. Just space planning. It is not exactly the right work flow, I know. Another trouble – I work online only, my lovely customer is miles and miles and miles away.
So she wants to have two bedrooms and important thing – the big kitchen with the big table as my friend is a real oriental woman who loves to invite and feed a lot of guests.
1 option
This was the first idea. I like that the corridor leading to bedrooms and bathroom has a natural light from the kitchen window. But living area does not look comfortable and relaxing, no privacy there.
2 option
Here the living area moved to the window and looking cozy. And I like this “triangle” – kitchen, dining and living areas, it looks balanced. But now my customer does not like the positioning of the table, it supposed to be the heart of the home where guests fill comfortable and relaxed. I agree. And she wants the little toilet back, probably thinking about guests again.

Toilet is back, the kitchen moved to the window again, the private sitting room has a natural daylight. To achieve that I had to reduce bedrooms and increase the wardrobe and the bathroom. Little girl’s room is only 3 by 4 meters now, but as soon as she will not have any cloth storage units (all goes to the spacious wardrobe), that should be fine. Approved.
I like your third variant. What a shame that all the windows look onto one side which causes difficulties in arranging the space. If there was a window on the opposite side it would have been wonderful to place the girl’s room there but in these circumstances you have achieved your goal.
Yes, it is not enough windows there obviously. I am afraid there is going to be too warm at summer and no chance to create the draft. In Almaty it is the issue. I do not know how the apartments are orientated though, hopefully the mountain fresh breeze is somewhere about.
