Rendering, drawing, sketching
Hi Eve, I also came across your page whilst searching for inspiration for project 4. I’m like you also doing the same course and I’ve just submitted project 3. I’m VERY impressed with your drawing and rendering skills.. Any chance you could share some tips? I really struggle with the rendering.. Am even considering art classes. Anything you may have to share would be useful. My issues, getting true colour representation and applying shadows!! Man it’s tough.
Stay well and hope to hear from you!
Sonia
Dear Sonia, many thanks for your kind comment, I am very pleased. I spent all day thinking how can I give you a proper help with drawings, because I know exactly what are you talking about, I have been there myself and did not go too far. The main thing I understood about sketching is that it is better to sketch with someone rather than on your own. So art classes is a great idea. Another great idea – sketching marathon around the world started by Enrico Casarosa story artist living in San Francisco. Can you imagine what a great fun is that – to gather with several artists in your city, to sketch all day knowing that at the same time many artists in many cities all over the world doing the same! And to share all your sketches after! I never did it myself but I would love to. I took these pictures from SketchCrawl forum, last session in France. I think this is the best way to learn drawing.

KBB Birmingham 2012
I am not going to KBB this time, but I will check out and save to my data base the Exhibitors List – the ready list of 258 suppliers of kitchen and bathroom equipment from all over UK and Europe.

Arc show
I am going to visit THE ARC SHOW in February-March 2012, Always was curious about those lighting tricks. Should be useful for interiors too I am sure.

Victoria and Albert museum
I am going to spend there the next Saturday 6 of August. Checked the web site of museum and got very exited, it is sooo huge! I am looking forward to get tired walking through and to fall at the end, exhausted and stuffed with information and impressions!

This September I will visit 100% Design. Booked.
Decorex 2010
Well, I made my choise. Past Sunday me and Marina, who is also KLC student went to Decorex exhibition. I have never seen so many great things in my life. About 300 stands and every one is best of the best. I asked questions, touched fabrics and finishes, collected all possible materials and came back absolutely happy. We spent all day there. I would be happy to spend there all four though. Exellent!
What to choose?
Two exhibitions a the same time! Both are great! I am not sure I can visit them both… DECOREX or 100% DESIGN? pret-a-porter or haute couture?
